across the Mississippi River was suspended this morning for inspections to see whether the impact of a barge damaged the US 80 bridge The barges in an early morning tow also struck the Interstate 20 bridge "as cables broke and about 35 barges scattered Vehicle traffic on 1 20 was not stopped here daily Smith said that at least one train had been held up in Vicksburg since shortly after the crash warrant A Brandon man was arrested riday evening in Ridgeland on a local warrant for burglary and grand larceny Vicksburg Police Department records George Terry Beckham 25 of Brandon was arrested at
