The Complete Guide to Bernedoodles: Everything you need… (2024)

Great guide; extremely helpful when considering whether a bernedoodle is the right breed to adopt. Personally, I wound up adopting a mini bernedoodle as my first every dog, and fell in love with the breed.

I currently have two mini bernedoodles, Izzy and Angelo, as a result of this fabulous book of advice! I’d like to congratulate/thank the author! (I love my bernedoodles-I can’t live without them.)

Also-for anyone who just wants a quick description of the personality of bernedoodles, these are some of the major qualities which stood out about the breed over the years:

•Lower energy level than other doodles; sleep a lot but are still pretty athletic

•Hypoallergenic+no drooling

•Don’t typically bark as much as other breeds (this specific characteristic depends more on the dog; I’ve had a few yappy bernedoodles-as a matter of fact, Angelo is on the vocal side.)

•Very soft, silky fur. Takes a while to groom…

•Strong swimmers

•Easy to train; very smart and aim to please

I know this review didn’t say much about the book itself, but I just wanted to give some advice! I recommend bernedoodles to any inexperienced or simply busy person.

Thoughtfully Put Together

From the early stages of life, to the end game, David Anderson explains every detail of best practices in raising a Bernadoodle. This book is a fast and easy read with some really good advice. Andersons’ advice can easily be interpreted for other dog breeds as well.
As a dog owner from a young girl to middle age, I thought I knew it all regarding raising dogs. Come to find out, there is so much more to learn about raising a dog, especially with this particular hybrid breed.

This is a guide book for the care of Bernedoodle dogs. The author interviewed the top Bernedoodle breeders to give the reader tips and tricks to raising these dogs.

As you can imagine - we picked this one up because we are getting a Bernedoodle puppy. I thought this books was pretty great. It has a wealth of information about the breed, training, grooming, and what it means to have this breed of dog. We are not new to Doodle dogs, but this is our first doodle mixed with a Bernese Mountain Dog, so we were grateful for some tip and tricks.

I'm getting my bernedoodle in a month, so I picked up this book. Really great read, I have read it cover to cover two times now, and it is still not a boring. It tells you every thing you will need to know, from supplies to training. The pics are great and super funny. Very detailed description on everything ( I mean EVERYTHING). There are not enough words to tell you how good this book is.

A great book to read before deciding to take home a Bernedoodle. It gives a good idea of coats, sizes, personality and how much you need to be available to your pet. It also discussed potential health issues and relieved many of my concerns. They are so smart and social I have planned to be home the entire first week so my new Bernedoodle can get settled in and potty trained.

Beautiful insights into the life, care and habits of a bernedoodle - I own a bernedoodle and my buddy is so like this book. The breed itself is fairly new and I am impressed that the habits and behavior of this breed has been so well documented. I am glad to have been able to read this book.
