I agree, but it looks like if a person had a parts car, it would be relatively simple to convert it back. The work done looks very nice, except for the steering wheel. The cost to do the conversion would be considerable, however, especially with such a steep price on the hot rod. Posted on: 2016/3/29 6:53

Home away from home ![]() | Thought this '53 would be a good start for someone who wants a 2 door. I've seen the '54 in San Luis Obispo, its a Fred Flintstone if anyone cares. I know it starts and drives well. Seller is very nice but the car does need some work. Posted on: 2016/3/28 23:21

Home away from home ![]() | Update on the 35 convertible coupe. Seller found it in Belgium in a museum and enjoyed the car for a while but found it too hard to keep up with modern traffic so he decided to "update" it. Engine & transmission went to a guy that wanted to keep his car stock, and that helped pay for the new updates. Posted on: 2016/3/28 20:20

Forum Ambassador ![]() | ...there were a lot more convertible coupes build then I thought! Estimate according to Blackman is 183 produced which now needs to be revised a bit. Remember numbering for seniors in 1935 began at 201. Gosh, it hurts so much to see such a rare car mongrelized. Posted on: 2016/3/27 22:23

Home away from home ![]() | 1935 eight convertible coupe. On the outside it's still looks ok, but underneath it's skin... http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/cto/5511023847.html To bad it got butchered. Especially the dash. I love the original dash in the 35-37 senior cars and then to see this. But on a positive note; looking at the data plate there were a lot more convertible coupes build then I thought! Posted on: 2016/3/27 20:05

You had me scared there as I was wondering who would bid that amount, but no one has bid on the car yet. If you go back to the CL ad in the upper-right corner it says "No Bid." So I think that is their initial bid amount. Their second listing starts at $125. Posted on: 2016/3/26 15:59
