Welcome to Mile High Skyride. We are a sales office for flight adventures in the Boulder and Denver Metropolitan area of Colorado. We are owned and operated by pilots, based in Boulder, and our goal is to get you up in the air on a wonderful flying experience unique to the Rocky Mountain Front Range. We want you to fly-not just buy as with some 1-800 national ride mills remote from flight operations: We only sell what we can deliver locally, as a consortium of the area's better known air tour operators. On some Glider rides, if you wish, your pilot can demonstrate gentle aerobatic maneuvers or let you take the controls for a portion of the flight. As an alternative to trial flying, consider a double ride: 2 passengers can go together up to about 300 lb combined weight.
In the process, you get a scenic area tour. See the University of Colorado, the Boulder Flatirons, the Arapahoe Peaks,... Long's Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park, Denver,... mountain lakes, old mining and new gambling towns, ski resorts, nature preserves and trails, national research laboratories...
You have seen the aircraft that won World War II in museums and in the movies. How about from the cockpit flying on a Warbird ride? We can set you up for a flight in the 600HP AT-6 "Harvard", the USA's mostly widely-used fighter trainer. We can even introduce you to a pilot of a rare two-seat variant of the famous British Spitfire. En route to airshows between scenic Aspen, Ft. Collins, and Colorado Springs, you could become familiar with this classic machine. Be the envy of English aviation buffs who wait 3 years for a turn.
